Microphone preamps

Microphone preamps "preamp" are often found in radio / recording studios and home studios.
Microphone preamps are available separately, but can also be built into your mixing console, audio processor. The purpose of these preamplifiers is to make microphone signals 'usable'. Microphones themselves convert sound vibrations into an electrical signal of just a few millivolts. To be able to process and mix with this extremely weak sound signal, it must first be amplified a bit and you need a microphone amplifier for that. You determine how much the microphone signal is amplified with the "gain" knob.
