New Studio for RTW FM community radio

As a former employee I was allowed to build a new studio at a completely new location
New Studio for RTW FM community radio
Last weekend, my local radio station in my village moved to their new location. I started my local radio Dj career there in the 1987 and since 1991 when a new studio was introduced not much had changed. While I stopped making programs for them somewhere back in 2000 I had contact with them on a regular basis and did some work for them the last years. I was very happy i got the job of building a complete new stdio for the station. With a new location available, there was a nice chance to build a new studio, while the station remained on air on their old location.

Their wish was a modern studio, with an traditional touch. As a community station they have a varied type of programming and DJ/ presenters still uses cd players and even the good old Technics SL1200 turntables. The heart of the new studio is the digital D&R Axum console with 16 faders.

A fairly simple visual radio solution is also introduced by using the D&R camcom module.

The connection to the transmitter site (elsewhere in the village on a high apartment building) is done via MicroMPX connection, replacing their old analog VHF STL. (keeping it in the rack as a backup solution in case of an internet breakdown)

A very nice job, with a lot of challenges where we, in cooperation with the customer, came to a total solution which launches the station from the 90's to modern times. This station can be received in a 15-20 km radius around Waddinxveen on FM 105.8 ,DAB 7B and internet www.rtw.nl

Special thanks to Edgar Waterlander / EPM Rental for his cooperation on this project!
