Pro FM Broadcast Celebrates 16 Years Anniversery – Start of DAB TEST
If you are having a birthday party it is nice to do something special! We got a test licence to broadcast on DAB.
The company wants to make this new digital radio standard (which is seen as the successor to the current analogue FM broadcasts) available to local / regional broadcasters in the Gouda region and has received a license for this from the Telecom Agency until January 1, 2018.
The purpose of the broadcasts is to investigate whether local/regional DAB broadcasts are (affordable) possible. National public and commercial broadcasters have been broadcasting using this new standard for some time now.
The broadcasts take place from the broadcast location of the local broadcaster RTW, in Waddinxveen and can be received in a large part of the Groene Hart on channel 9C. = 206.352 MHz.
You will need a new DAB radio for this, which is already installed as standard in many new cars these days and can be purchased everywhere for a few tens of euros. The company calls on listeners to listen to the broadcasts where possible and to provide information about the (reception) quality so that a good picture can be obtained of how the installation performs among different residents of the area where the transmitter can be received.
You can email all responses to [email protected]
The digital transmitter can transmit multiple radio stations simultaneously and is currently transmitting all local broadcasters in the region and some internet radio stations.
